1. Silverum™ is superior because it is manufactured using the ELECTRO-COLLOIDAL PROCESS:

   (non-chemical/non-grinding) considered by experts around the world to be the best way to produce colloidal silver. Are all colloidal silver products the same?

NO, many methods are used to manufacture products sold as "colloidal silver":

1. Electro-Colloidal Silver (as SILVERUM™):

   Widely considered far superior to other silver products. Electro-colloidal silver consists of electrically produced oligodynamic silver ions and extraordinarily small pure silver particles suspended in pure water—and no other elements present. Commercially-produced electro-colloidal silver has a flawless safety record.

2. Mild Silver Protein:

   Chemically bound microscopic particles of silver with protein molecules. The negative publicity surrounding "colloidal silver" has to do with mild silver protein products. (See argyria, below.)

3. Silver Salts:

   A form of silver that dissolves in water, manufactured chemically or electro-chemically. Concentrations range between 50-500 ppm. The silver particles carry a positive electrical charge, but they also contain other elements or compounds (other than silver) which can result in unsafe products. (See argyria, below.)

4. Silver Powder:

   A pure silver wire is rapidly disintegrated by an high voltage electrical discharge to create microscopic silver dust which is then dissolved in water or added to salves and creams for topical use. The silver dust particles are larger than desirable and concentrations range from 100-500 ppm.

All of the above products may have some ability to act as a germicide because they all contain some silver ions. However, it is important to know that: 1) all of the above products are not "colloidal suspensions" of silver, 2) these products do not all behave the same in the body or in laboratory tests, 3) effectiveness and dosage varies from product-to-product, 4) quality varies from product-to-product and from batch-to-batch, and 5) they are not uniformly safe and non-toxic. What causes argyria? Is Silverum™ safe?
